Lachlan has been recording, mixing and mastering records for the past 20 years. For most of the past decade, he’s worked primarily with Francois Tetaz at Franc’s studio Moose Mastering in Melbourne. His studio mixing credits include Missy Higgins, CW Stoneking, Mojo Juju, Spender, Colour Bomb, Gotye, Lior, Packwood, Elixir, The Hello Morning, Oren Ambarchi, Anthony Pateras, APSCI, Crayon Fields, Gian Slater, Christopher Hale Ensemble and Julian Wilson.

Several records Lachlan has been involved with have won ARIA awards, including CW Stoneking’s “Jungle Blues”, Bertie Blackman’s “Secrets & Lies”, Gotye’s “Mixed Blood”, and Elixir’s “First Seed Ripening.”

He has remastered a series of 4 Triffids albums for Domino Records in the UK, as well as releases for artists like AB Original, Mantra, Gretta Ray, Sally Seltmann, Architecture In Helsinki, Lior, Gotye, The Putbacks & Emma Donovan, The Crayon Fields, Jessica Says, Geoffrey O’Connor, Oren Ambarchi, Sunn o))), Whitley, Mantra, The Exploders, The Living End, Faux Pas, Ned Collette, and many more.

He has plenty of experience working in surround, mixing film scores for composers Nigel Westlake, David Hirschfelder and Francois Tetaz, as well as mastering 5.1 DVD releases for The Drones and others.

He is the current Front Of House engineer for Gotye, joining in for the last 2 world tours. Other live mixing credits include The Cat Empire, Angus & Julia Stone, Lior, Julia Stone, The Necks and Katie Noonan. He also enjoys working with multi-award winning theatre group Back To Back.

Recently, Lachlan has continued mastering and mixing film scores at Moose, as well as getting involved in projects with Andrea Keller, Gian Slater, Julien Wilson, Luke Howard Trio and The Cat Empire. He’s also planning to build a new mastering facility in Coburg next year!
